Who We Are

Ireland Coast to Coast Hiking Tours developed as a result of REI Adventures pulling out of the non-US tour market following the Covid 19 pandemic.

Having spent many years guiding the original Ireland Coast to Coast Hiking trips for REI Adventures, we both thought this would be a good opportunity to continue on former employer and REI sub-contractor Tim Cookingham’s hard work.

We decided to re-launch the trip under a different brand and continue running great hiking trips across Ireland. We are also working in the background to get a hiking tour developed in the north of Ireland, stay tuned!

We both can’t wait to show you Ireland!!

Your Guides

Sarah Harris

Sarah Harris is a passionate outdoorswoman who lives in Gormanston, Co Meath with her husband and two children. 
 
Previous careers include fashion design and founding and running a montessori school.
 
Now that her children have grown, Sarah prefers to fulfill her love for Hiking and the outdoors by sharing it with others as a guide .
She looks forward to meeting everyone  and sharing the best of her native land with you .

Get to know us

Ryan Lavery

Born and bred in the north of Ireland with a background in Ecology, Environmental Science & Adventure

Ryan worked as a Forest Manager in Scotland after university until he decided he wanted to travel and see the world.

In 2015 at the age of 25 he quit his job, got a bus driving licence and started working overseas for Dragoman Overland Travel. The job enabled Ryan to drive, travel and lead trips all over the continents of South America, Africa and India/Nepal.

Ryan naturally began tour guiding back in Ireland whenever he returned home and loves bringing people around Ireland, showing them the beautiful landscapes, historical sites and the warm local hospitality.

Being an outdoors man and having a love of people, nature and hiking he couldn’t think of anything else he would rather be doing.
